Generally, when entering the age of 6 months, the Little is ready to meet and try the first MPASI. But, before determining the type of food that can be given to the Small, recognize the signs he really was ready to try solid foods.

Make sure the Little has been able to sit upright, hold his head well, show interest in food, and can close his mouth when you thrust a spoon filled with food to him.

MPASI

If all the signs are already on the Small, then you can start thinking about the type of food that you will give.

1.More Interested Sweet

The average baby is more interested in fruit than vegetables. This is a natural thing because previously Small people are accustomed to breast milk that has a natural sweetness. Fruit has a sweeter taste compared with vegetables that tend to bargain.

However, it does not mean you should not try to give vegetables in the menu of Small MPASI. Experts believe that both are just as good for your baby.

2.First Solid Food

If you decide to give the fruit first, there are several types of fruit that you fit in the menu of the first small MPASI. You can try apples, papaya, pears, bananas, melons, avocados, and blueberries.

Make sure the fruit is given in puree (smooth and un-textured). For a rather hard fruit like apple, you can steam it before it is processed into puree form.

What about vegetables? For vegetables, you can choose carrots, sweet potatoes, potatoes, broccoli, beans, spinach, long beans, cauliflower, pumpkin, and zucchini. Steam first until soft before processing it into puree.

3.Mixed, may or not?

Mixing fruit and vegetable puree to give to Little is not really a problem. However, you should avoid doing this in the first small MPASI.

For the first small MPASI, should always give one type of food for three days. The goal is to find out whether the Baby has an allergic reaction to the food.

If there are no symptoms for three days, then the food is safe. But if allergic reactions arise, then you can already know that most likely allergies caused by these types of foods.

If you directly give a mixture of food, it would be difficult to find out what type of food that actually makes the Small allergy. Later, you can mix puree with fruit and vegetables that have passed the selection.

Providing MPASI for the Small can not be underestimated. But with the right information, you certainly can do well. Good luck!
